Bangladesh Premier League 2023: Chattogram Challengers Thrashed Dhaka Dominators by 15 Runs

At Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka, the squads, Chattogram Challengers and Dhaka Dominators came against each other. 

With both the captains on the pitch, Chattogram Challengers won the toss and chose to bat first. Mehedi Maruf and Irfan Sukkur opened the batting attack on the opening bowling of Shoriful Islam. In the 2nd over, Sukkur crunched the first four of the innings and after 3 overs, CGC got a score of 13. 

In the 5th over, Sukkur lost his wicket to Arafat Sunny, scoring 7 off 9 balls and the right-handed batter, Unmukt Chand came to the crease. After 6 overs, their score shifted to 20-3. 

CGC boys struggled hard and crossed the half-century after 10 overs, standing at a score of 57-5. Adding 11 runs in 16 balls for the side, Campher got a dismissal from Amir Hamza.

Scoring 30 runs in 29 balls, Usman Khan lost his wicket to Arafat Sunny. After 16 overs, CGC score jumped to a score of 80-7. 

In 20 overs, CGC posted 118 runs with a loss of 8 wickets. 

To chase down the target of 119, Soumya Sarkar and Abdullah Al Mamun opened the batting attack on the opening bowling of Shuvagata. In the 2nd over, Soumya Sarkar smashed the first three boundaries for the side. In the consecutive over, Mamun lost his wicket to Abdullah after adding just 2 runs in 8 balls. DHDM got a score of 26-1 after 3 overs. 

After 5 overs, the side score shifted to 36-1 and the side crossed the half-century after 9 overs, standing at a score of 51-3. Scoring 13 off 13, A Blake lost his wicket to Nihaduzzaman. After 14 overs, DHDM jumped to a score of 75-4. 

Scoring 24 off 33 balls, Hossain got a dismissal from Campher and the right-handed batter, Amir Hamza took the batting charge. After 17 overs, the side got a score of 91-5. 

After 19 overs, the side crossed the century, standing at a score of 100-8. In 20 overs, DHDM scored 103 runs with a loss of 9 wickets and won the match by 15 runs.
