India vs Bangladesh 1st Test, Day 4: India Maintained a Firm Hold on the Match; Need 4 Wickets to Win

On the 4th day of the 1st test match, the left-handed opening batters, Hossain Shanto and debutant Zakir Hasan paired up for 124 runs stand, building a stable foundation for Bangladesh at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

After three consistent day of the first test match, the pitch seemed to slow down and India got a favor but the side got no wicket in the session before the lunch. Shano drilled 67 runs while Hasan got 100. Today, the attack of Indian bowlers wasn’t effective and Bangladeshi batters were great with the bat.

Yesterday, the side scored 42 played in 12 overs and today, the boys started the day with consistent boundaries on the over from Mohammed Siraj and his gameplay also reached 50-run partnership.

Siraj got to take Shanto a few times and R Ashwin holded the edge of the left-handed batters. On the throw from Yadav, Hasan hit the best shot for a boundary. The shot from Zakir provoked off-spinner Ashwin to change his plan and he immediately beat the outer edge of Shanto.

Shanto got to his 50-run stand and formed a lethal duo to pull off Siraj with great techniques. On the contrary, Zakir sweeped for his shot against Kuldeep Yadav and he also reached his 50-run stand in the debut match.

Axar took 3 wickets today while Umesh, Ashwin, and Kuldeep settled only with 1 wickets in their account!

Bangladesh stood at 272 runs with a loss of 6 wickets and now they need 241 runs while India only need 4 wickets to take 1-0 lead in the series.
