India Qualified for the WTC After a Thrilling Win of New Zealand Over Sri Lanka; Will Face Australia in Final

Australia was the first team to qualify while on the other hand, India and Sri Lanka were struggling to secure their place in the final. As India lost the third test against Australia and it gave a rope to Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka was playing against New Zealand and lost the test match on the last ball. It helped India to secure their place in the WTC final along with Australia. Sri Lanka would be in the race if Sri Lanka would win the match and India lose the final test. But things went opposite; Sri Lanka lost the match while India is heading to draw.

As Sri Lanka had lost the match, so even if they win the next match, they will reach 52.78 rating points, which will be lesser than India’s rating points 56.94. If the match between India and Australia end on a draw, India will reach 58.80.

Australia has been outstanding with a amazing win loss record: 11-3. They have won the series against South Africa, West Indies, England, and Pakistan. Kangaroos has drew a series against Sri Lanka and most likely they will loss the series against India.

India also have amazing win loss record: 10-5. They have won the series against New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. Men in Blue drew the series against England and lost the series against South Africa. Most likely, India will win the series against Australia.

Sri Lanka required to win the series by 2-0 against New Zealand for reaching the WTC final. Black Caps won the match on the last ball and. Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell played an outstanding innings, which will help New Zealand to win the match in close encounter. Daryl Mitchell was named the player of match as he scored century in the first inning and half-century in the second innings. Kane Williamson hit a hundred and stayed on the field till the end and won the match for New Zealand.

The WTC final is secheduled at The Oval, London from 7 June.
