India Thrashed the Black Caps by 168 Runs and Won the T20I Series by 2-1

Black Caps faced the Men in Blue at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad in the decider match of the series. The host won the toss and decided to bat first in India vs New Zealand.

India put a huge 234 runs on the scoreboard. Men in Blue lost a wicket very early but Tripathi and Shubman Gill made a partnership and took care of Indian innings. Shubman Gill hit his first ever T20I international and became the fifth Indian batter to score centuries in all formats. Tickner was the most expensive bowler as he gave 50 runs in 3 overs.

Chasing 235 runs, Fin Allen and Devon Conway led New Zealand’s opening batting lineup. Hardik Pandya opened the bowling attack. Finn Allen got out after scoring 3(4) in the first over as Suryakumar Yadav took a stunning catch. Arshdeep came to bowl in the second over and took the wicket of Conway on the first ball and took the wicket of Chapman on the last ball.

Glenn Phillips also got out after scoring 2(7) in the third over on Hardik Pandya and SKY took another stunning catch. Umran Malik came into the attack in the 5th over and he took the wicket of Bracewell. In power play, Black Caps scored 30 runs with a loss of 5 wickets. Mitchell Santner and Daryl Mitchell made a small partnership and Shivam Mavi broke the partnership. In the 9th over, Shivam Mavi took the wicket of Santer and Ish Sodhi. In the 10th over, Hardik Pandya took the wicket of Ferguson. After 10 overs, New Zealand was 56-8.

Hardik Pandya took the wicket of Tickner in the 12th over and it was his 4th wicket. Daryl Mitchell got out after scoring 35 and he was the highest scorer. New Zealand scored 66-10 and lost the match by 168 runs.
