In the 5th over, Rohit Sharma got out after scoring 13(15) on the fourth ball and Suryakumar Yadav came to bat and got out for a duck. It was a back-to-back duck for SKY. In the 9th over, KL Rahul got out after scoring 9(12) on the fourth ball. In the 10th over, Hardik Pandya got out after scoring 1(3) on the second ball and India reached 50 runs on the fourth ball. After 10 overs, India was at 51-5.

In the 16th over, Virat Kohli got out after scoring 31(35) on the second ball. In the 20th over, Jadeja got out after scoring 16(39) on the third ball. India reached 100 runs in the 23rd over with a single. In the 25th over, Kuldeep Yadav got out after scoring 4(17) on the fourth ball and Mohammed Shami got out for a duck on the fifth ball. After the 25th over, India was at 103-9. In the 26th over, Axar Patel smashed back-to-back two sixes and Mohammed Siraj got out for a duck on the last ball.

In 50 overs, India registered 117 runs with a loss of 10 wickets.
