India and Sri Lanka came against each other at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram for the final match of the ODI series. With both the captains on the pitch, India won the toss and opted to bat first.

Rohit and Shubman Gill opened the batting attack on the bowling of Rajitha. In the 2nd over, Gill bought the first four of the innings. After 3 overs, India got a score of 5. Gill crunched more boundaries in the next over.

In the 6th over, Rohit smacked his first 6 while Gill slammed four boundaries and after 8 overs, the side crossed the half-century with a score of 51. After 12 overs, India jumped to a score of 85. Scoring 42 off 49 balls, Rohit lost his wicket to Karunaratne and Kohli took the batting charge.

Right after his batting strike, he got a four and India reached the century with a score of 100-1 after 16 overs. In the 19th over, Gill reached his 50 and after 25 overs, Kohli and Gill positioned India at a score of 158-1.

In the 31st over, Gill smacked his century while Kohli got his 50 and India crossed double century with a score of 202-1. Well, Gill didn’t stop there and slammed three boundaries in the next over.

Scoring a huge 116 in 97 balls, Gill got a dismissal from Rajtha. Kohli kept stunning the fans and smacked multiple sixes and boundaries and got his century. After 43 overs, India got a score of 303-2. Adding 38 off 32 balls for the side, Iyer lost his wicket to Kumara.

In 50 overs, India stunned Sri Lanka, posting 390 runs on the scoreboard with a loss of 5 wickets.
