Sharjah Warriors vs Dubai Capitals –  Match Called Off After 5 Overs Due to Rain

The 17th match of International League T20, 2023, was planned to be held between  Sharjah Warriors vs Dubai Capitals on 26 January 2023 at  Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. The game was scheduled to start at 7:30 PM IST. Sharjah Warriors have won the toss and have opted to field.

Due to the rain, first, the match was delayed. The rain stopped, and it was decided to reduce 1 over in both innings. Hazratullah Zazai and Lawrence came to the crease, and Naveen-ul-Haq opened the attack. In the 5 overs, Dubai Capitals scored 17 runs with a loss of 4 wickets.

After 5 overs, the rain started again. Junaid Siddique and Naveen-ul-Haq were on top of their game and allowed Dubai to put 17/4 within 5 overs. Due to the inclement weather in Sharjah, the rain returned, this time heavier, creating puddles of water on the pitch covers. Ultimately, the umpires had no choice but to call the game off with no result.
