T10 League 2022: Delhi Bulls Beats The Chennai Braves by 31 runs

Delhi Bulls and Chennai Braves met at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium for the 26th match of the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2022.

Delhi Bulls won the toss and opted to bat first. The first inning started with Gurbaz and Rossouw on the crease, and Patrick opened the attack. In the last ball of the first over, Patrick got his first success as he dismissed Gurbaz. Delhi scored an excellent run chase of 68 runs with a loss of two wickets of Gurbaz and Rossouw.

Tom Bonton tried to hit some boundaries but could go so far and was dismissed by Sam cook after scoring 35 runs in 17 balls. J Fuller finished the first inning with a four, and Delhi Bulls scored 119 runs after losing 4 wickets in the 10 overs.

After a short break, the second inning started with Lawrence and Kobe Herft at the crease, and Ayaan Khan opened the attack. Delhi Bulls got two back-to-back wickets in the 5th over of Muhammad Taimoor. Kobe and Brathwaite were gone after scoring 9(10) and 4(3) runs, respectively. In the 5 overs, the Chennai Braves scored 48 runs with a loss of 3 wickets.

Michael Pepper tried to hit some boundaries to make a good run chase but could not go beyond 6 balls as Taimoor dismissed him in the 6.5 overs. Lawrence was also dismissed in the 8th over when he was just 5 runs away from hitting a half-century. After trying so hard, Chennai Braves could not complete the run chase in 10 overs, and Delhi Bulls won the game by 31 runs.

The Bulls moved to fifth place in the points table after winning the game with a convincing margin of victory. The Chennai Braves, on the other hand, dropped to seventh place and now need the Northern Warriors to lose by a considerable margin for them to advance to the competition’s next round.
