New Zealand tour of Pakistan, 2023

Pakistan is hosting the bilateral series in Apr-May for 5 ODI and 5 T20. This series will be part of the Future Tour Program (FTP). It is a law introduced by the ICC in 2009 among the test-playing nations. Two teams need to play at least two bilateral series in 10 years, and both teams can play more than two series mutually.

Both the teams have qualified for the ICC World Cup 2023, and the top seven teams of the ICC World Cup Super League have qualified and will travel to India. ODI series the compensation for canceled series as New Zealand pulled out of the series in 2021 due to security reasons at the end moment.

New Zealand Tour of Pakistan 2023 – A Glimpse

New Zealand will play 5 T20 & 5 ODI series, and the result will not affect the qualification for the world cup. The date has been announced for the bilateral series between Pakistan and New Zealand. The series will start in April, T20 will be the first series, and ODI will follow.

T20 will be the first series of the tour, and 1st T20 is scheduled on April 13 at National Stadium, Karachi. The second, third, and fourth T20 matches will be played at the same venue on April 15, 16, and 19, respectively. The fifth and last T20 match is scheduled at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on April 23. All the T20 matches will start at the same time on 02:30 PM GMT / 07:30 PM LOCAL.

The ODI will be the second and last series of the tour, and the 1st ODI is scheduled on April 26 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. The second ODI is scheduled at the same venue on April 28. The third, fourth, and fifth ODI match is scheduled on 1, 4, and 7 May respectively at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi. All the ODI matches will start at the same time on 09:30 AM GMT / 02:30 PM LOCAL.
